It’s been a while since this blog was last updated, but what better way to get back into the swing of things than by talking about an organization as wonderful as Honor Flight? For those not familiar with Honor Flight please go here to learn more or you can watch a video here.
Starting February 14th until February 17th, 2019 several of the RFX Team members were invited to the Honor Flight National Summit. Though some members of the RFX team attended last year, this weekend was my first Honor Flight Summit. We were elated to be asked to come back and participate
Not only were we able to contribute to the conference by hosting a breakout session on Digitizing applications, we also got to share in the experience as we were invited by other speakers to listen in on their sessions. We really enjoyed hearing Michael Thena discussing going paperless and Tom discussing legal fun around flying a mission, as well as many other talented folks.
What I took away from this amazing opportunity is there are tons of volunteers throughout our country that truly care. The couple hundred folks in attendance all had one objective – to find out how they can do more, learn more, be more to help our veterans see the monuments that were built to honor them. Their hard work makes a big impact, and I cannot tell you how proud I am of the RFX Team’s part in assisting them, at this conference and back at home.
A very special thanks must also go out to the Bluegrass Hub for helping us get involved! We hope to see you again next year!
