Honoring a Legacy of Service: Brian Earley’s Impact on RFX and Beyond

At RFX Technologies, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside some truly exceptional individuals. Among them is Brian Earley, a veteran whose dedication to service extends far beyond his time in uniform. Brian’s impact with our company and the broader veteran community is undeniable—whether through his role as a Guardian with Honor Flight Bluegrass, his work advocating for our development team to create the Honor Apps program, or his powerful gesture of flying an American flag in honor of RFX Technologies. Today, we want to share a small part of his story and express our deep gratitude for all he has done.

A Veteran Serving Veterans: Brian’s Role with Honor Flight Bluegrass

As a veteran himself, Brian understood the profound sacrifices made by those who served before him. In 2016, he took on the role of Guardian with Honor Flight Bluegrass, a program dedicated to flying World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor. This experience was more than just a flight—it was a mission of gratitude, ensuring that those who had given so much to our country were properly recognized and celebrated.

Brian’s involvement didn’t stop at a single trip. That initial flight sparked a commitment that would grow into something even larger—helping veterans, volunteers, and mission leaders through technology-driven solutions.

Honor Apps: Building a Better Way to Support Veterans

Through a partnership with Honor Flight Bluegrass, and Brian’s support for finding a better solution - The RFX team set out to replace outdated methods like paper, spreadsheets and scattered emails with a sustainable, user-friendly digital system. The goal was clear: make it easier for mission leaders, volunteers, and board members to serve veterans efficiently.

Today, Honor Apps has been used in over 367 missions and continues to evolve, thanks to feedback from the very people it was built to support. Brian’s dedication helped turn this idea into a reality, creating a lasting impact that extends well beyond our company. It seems like only yesterday Brian shared such enthusiasm and encouragement to find a better solution.

A Flag Flown in Honor of RFX Technologies

One of the most meaningful moments in Brian’s journey with RFX came when he flew an American flag in combat over Iraq on October 22, 2019, as the pilot. This wasn’t just a symbolic gesture; Brian himself carried out the mission, ensuring the flag’s journey was a personal act of recognition.

The flag was later dedicated to RFX Technologies in recognition of our continuous support for A/5-159th GSAB and Task Force Warhawk. This moment served as a powerful reminder that our work isn’t just about technology—it’s about people, purpose, and the lasting impact we can have when we come together for a cause greater than ourselves.

A Lasting Legacy

Brian Earley’s contributions—both to RFX Technologies and the veteran community—are a testament to what can be achieved through dedication and service. His work with Honor Flight Bluegrass, the support of Honor Apps, and his symbolic tribute to RFX reflect a life lived with purpose and a commitment to giving back.

To Brian: Thank you for your service, your leadership, and the lasting impact you’ve made.
